BAC Windows was formed by Les Briggs and Eddie Coventry in 1966 when they were neighbours in Hornchurch, Essex. They initially made windows for their own houses.
The 70s
In 1971, SEH Ipswich Ltd was formed and in 1977 the growing business moved to purpose-built offices on Crowcroft Road in the town.
The 80s
SEH Windows and Doors was formed in 1985 and became members of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) in 1987. Then in 1989 the SEH Group was established.
2000-2006
SEH Windows and Doors moved into the present, 30,000 sq ft head office building in Ipswich in 2000, and in 2006 it opened the biggest indoor window and door showroom in the South East in Chelmsford.
2007
SEH Windows and Doors acquired BAC Windows and SEH BAC was formed.
2012-2013
In 2012 A&B Asset and FineLine Windows was acquired by SEH BAC, before the company also acquired Banaglaze and further expanded its operation.
2014
SEH Group is rebranded to One Group Construction and SEH BAC wins the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) Glazing Project of the Year Award.
2015
SEH BAC wins the National Home Improvement Council Double Glazing With Community Benefit Award.
2017
SEH BAC expands into a new 5,000 sq ft facility in Colchester before winning the coveted Installer of the Year at the G17 Awards and the Delivering Community Benefit Through Home Improvement at the NHIC.
2019
SEH BAC is named South-East Company of the Year by the elite Master Window and Conservatory Installers Association and scoops a Conservatory & Orangery Award for a complex renovation project. Peter Wheeler, who joined the company in 1987, becomes Managing Director.
2020
SEH BAC wins the highly sought-after Extension Designer of the Year award from Ultraframe, and also gains the Emplas Best Showroom in the Southern Region award.
2022
SEH BAC renews its sponsorship with Ipswich Town Football Club, agreeing a new two-year contract after sponsoring the club for more than 20 years.
